Japanese company I-O Data has this week announced the LCD-AD197GE, a 19-inch 4:3 monitor that's bragging with a maximum power consumption of 26W, and an 'ECO Step' power draw of just 17.7W. Beside the (relatively) low power consumption, the upcoming LCD is rather banal, with its native resolution of just 1280 x 1024 pixels, 5ms response time, maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2 and 800:1 contrast ratio.The LCD-AD197GE also comes with D-Sub and DVI connectivity, two 1W speakers, and a 3.5mm audio jack, for those headphone needs. No word on pricing but we're hoping it'll be cheap.
