Psystar settling with Apple for $2.67 million

Influenced by the holiday spirit, or just tired after some 18 months of trial, Mac clone maker Psystar and Apple have met halfway and reached a settlement to their legal dispute. The agreement pretty much says Psystar accepts all accusations of copyright infringement, violation of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, breach of contract, and that it will pay Apple $2,675,000 as damages. The settlement will also see Apple drop all charges against Psystar and almost leave the company be in peace. Why almost? Because Psystar, while it won't be making Mac clones, it still wants to sell the Rebel EFI tool which, for $50 enables regular users to install Mac OS Show Leopard on Intel-based systems.
